The MSE Big Switch 3 may well be the best on offer but the fact remains that energy suppliers have massively increased their margins in recent years. Wholesale energy costs have fallen by far more than the tariffs offered to consumers who are merely offered the crumbs off the table.

What are the wholesale cost changes? I'd love to see any data you have.
Thanks,

So as you appear to be 'in the know' - give us some figures please.
Will this help?

“Our estimate of the pre-tax margin a typical large supplier could make over the next 12 months, based on a 13-month rolling average, is around £120 or 9% of the annual dual fuel bill. This is higher than last month's estimate and can be explained by the fact that we expect wholesale costs to continue to decline over the coming months as the effects of falls in wholesale prices continue to feed through”mad mocs - the pavement worrier0 -

I'm surprised you don't alreeady have access to such data.
Anyway, this from the BBC to keep you happy whilst you do your own researchFirmus Energy, which supplies gas to about 76,000 customers in Northern Ireland, is to cut its prices...
The cuts are due to the continuing fall in wholesale gas prices....
(The report goes onto say this follows a similar price cut by NI's biggest gas supplier, SSE Airtricity, announced last week)0 -

That is not data - that is a news article.
Data would be a daily analysis of the wholesale forward rates of gas/electricity - something that used to be present on energy.eu, sadly no longer available.0
