  • You should be complaining to 192.com rather than the council.

When did you register on the electoral register at your new address?

If memory serves me correctly when I moved I registered at my new address and ticked a box on the online form to remove myself at my previous address.

    Thanks for the help.

But the council has not replied to my email for ten days now.

Should i make a complaint about this wrong electoral listing of me?

192.com is out of date. It still shows me as living at an address five years ago... and I know for a FACT the electoral roll is up to date with the council!

You say you told the council you had moved but did you register at your new address, removing yourself from the old address here:

    https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Telling the council you have moved is for sorting out your council tax, not the electoral register.
  • The police say that someone illegally registered me, via a text, on the electoral register.
However, they say that they can't trace the phone from the text. So nothing can be done.
I think I know who it is. But the police say that even if they contact them, they'll just say it was an honest mistake (which it wasn't) Any advice?

I'm sure the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) will remove your entry if he is satisfied it is a false entry.

    Have you asked?

I agree that these things are often out of date. We moved to our current property almost 3 years ago, and we were still registered at our old address until 6 months ago on 192.com!
Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!
