electoral list wrong about me

I did a Google search of my name.

It came up with a link for 192 dot com

ACCORDING TO 192 DOT COM IT SAYS THAT I AM REGISTERED on the electoral list for 2014 to 2015 at my previous address despite leaving it over 2 years ago!!

Is someone stealing my identity ?

When I moved from Manchester to Salford I was still on the electrol register at my old address for months after.

192.com is notoriously out of date.

I'm still showing on there at an address I lived at for a year or so in 2000/01.

I think they want to include as many names as possible in order to up their sales.

NB. A couple I knew who died in 2005/6 are still showing up as well.

Make sure you take yourself off the full register. That should stop it appearing on 192.com.

I moved 220 miles away. So it is completely different authority.

I moved in easter 2013 and the false electoral listing (according to 192 dot com) says I am living at my old address for the electoral year 2014 to 2015.

Can 192 dot com be that incompetent to claim I still live there? Is this more common than I think ? What are the chances someone is claiming to be me?

I'll look into getting my credit report.

I am reluctant to sign up to any company for my credit s ore details. What if I have problems cancelling within the 30 day period or encounter other problems. I've emailed the council where I used to live. I hope that they can tell me if I've was wrongly registered there and how

Noddle and clearscore are free for life and the £2 report is a one of £2 payment. If you're concerned about fraud you need to check your credit files which is what 192 will say.

If you have problems you have problems and have to deal with them in the unlikely event of there being any.


It's possible you were never removed from the register at your old address.


Be prepared for the council at your old address being a little wary in what they are prepared to tell you.

The council has now confirmed by email that I was on the electoral roll at my former address last year, even though I left the address Easter time 2013. They say I was only deleted from it in May 2015. Could this be some kind of electoral fraud? I told the council when I was going to leavr way beforehand.
