Using ebay while abroad

I know ebay/paypal can be a bit funny, I was wondering if there's anything to be aware of when bidding/buying while abroad(US in particular), and also would it be ok to send seller a quick message asking to postpone posting an item? Thanks

I often use ebay abroad to buy while I am abroad as I travel a lot. However many sellers are nervous of delaying postage so If I have no one at home for the post I would normally wait until it is within a week so that I don't have items returned by courier or RM due to too many attempts at delivery.

Soo no problems accessing paypal when in a foreign country?

I had my paypal account suspended last time I logged in when abroad.... but that was many moons ago.

I have no issues at all - but I don't know if it makes a difference, but I am using the same iPad as I do at home sometimes.

Interestingly, I can't use hotmail overseas, every time I try my accounts get suspended and it takes me weeks to get full access to them. I have no idea why.

Your foreign IP address will prompt eBay login page to prompt you for your security questions.
When you get a spoof email prompting you for these security questions, it could possibly mean someone over-seas already has your password but can't login without the extra information.
There may also be protections to stop your login being used from multiple countries or continents simultaneously. I can't recall if eBay has this specifically but it's very common in online banking etc.
