How to disable Vista silly security alerts?

I've just reinstalled Vista and now am being harassed by these stupid alerts. I've gone to control panel/security centre and 'change the way security centre alerts me, checked the 'don't notify me and don't display the icon' but it ignores me even after rebooting. I've even tried to change to value in the registry but even in admin I can't add or change anything. Any ideas?
TIA

Maybe Win 10 wasn't so bad after all?0

Install XP. Or Win 7.
Anything but Vista. When an OS can't accomplish a simple copy/paste, it's not fit for purpose.0
