Do I need a 16" or 18" petrol Honda mower??

Guys,

we are thinking of getting this mower http://www.cheapmowers.com/acatalog/info_HPIZY.html

But then noticed it states it is suitable for gardens up to half a tennis court in size....

We have seen this next bigger, more expensive one, and are considering it instead - is it worth the extra money, and will we need it??

Our garden is approximately 100ft long, by 25-30 ft wide.

Here is the bigger one:

We've seen an Alpina on that same site, which has a Honda engine, but has a mulching facility - is that a good useful feature to have??

All replies greatly received.

Many thanks

Dan

The bigger one will save you 3 or 4 passes down the 100ft length each mowing so it really depends on whether you like mowing the lawn or would rather pay another £40 to get it over quicker each time, bearing in mind that over the lifetime of the mower you'll get a fair bit of extra deckchair time from the time saving.

Not really up on the mulching ones - I suspect you'd really need to know how good it is as I reckon a bad one would be a nightmare - that said if its a removeable attachment then you don't have to use it. The idea of not having to repeatedly empty the grass bin might is fairly attractive but not if it wrecks the lawn because it doesn't chop it finely enough.

Same engine and collecting capacity for both models. I'd go with the 16" - less strain on engine and you'll get a little more exercise!!

I have a Honda petrol mower, but it doesn't work now. Does anyone know anyone or anywhere where they might fix petrol mowers? It cost over £200 brand new from a Honda dealer shop that is no longer there.
I am in West London but would happy to travel about 30 miles to repair it.
    Thanks

Look up "lawnmowers" in yellow pages, should be plenty of local shops who would look at it for you ;)

Have you considered a 2nd hand one off ebay? There's always loads.
