Printing from ipad

Hi I have downloaded the app for my printer (Epson x225) onto my iPad Air but when I try to print anything the iPad searches for the printer but comes up with "no air printer found". Don't think my printer is an air printer but it should be compatible with tablets and smart phones. The printer was switched on and on line at the time. It is wireless and works for my daughter on her lap top. Help! Thanks

I had a similar problem with my Epson printer I've never been able to print from my laptop but it works perfectly from the ipad, I've never solved the problem sorry..

I had the same problem, I had to redirect it through Google cloud, can't remember how I did it, but the app has had an update I can now print dierct from the app without going to google cloud. See if the app needs an update it may then work

I assume you are using wireless printing. You normally go through your router. Your ipad is connected to your router securely wirelessly by tapping a code from your router into your ipad. If you are using the internet on ipad this will already be sorted. You have to link your printer and router together wirelessly securely. Can use WPS button on router or by inputting wifi password into printer depending on printer. You have to understand that your router doesn't know that it is your printer unless you tell it!
