Android box?

I currently have SKY, on the Variety package.
I have heard about android boxes but don't know where to start!
Is it a one-off payment? What do I get? Were is the best place to buy?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

  • I too am interested and would like to know more. I know you can stream films somehow but am not an owner of an Android box but could become one soon.

There's no legal way of watching sky or other subscription services via these boxes

As said its not legal to stream sky on these boxes. There are ways of course but dont think we are allowed to discuss these here. Some companies have been busted openly selling these which were set up already for end user to watch illegal content
  • Im not wanting to stream sky onto them, I'm looking to reduce my monthly bills but still have a good TV selection if that makes sense?

Bought one 3 weeks ago - We have watched 4 or 5 new films in full HD and I've watched BT Sport a few times already...as said it is not illegal to watch using these streams altho' the people hosting them are probably in breach.
I have a 16Mb connection and it was quite happily supplying a film in HD at the same time as someone was streaming Youtube via Chromecast on another TV -NO BUFFERING.

My box is an MX3S - cost ~ £30 thru Amazon; it arrived with the latest version of Kodi installed and I used Youtube tutorials to find/install various add ons.
