My elderly mother in law's Dyson vac stopped working and the company sent a service operative to carry out the repairs.
It had been agreed that as the guarantee had expired a charge of about £80 would be incurred.
The representative arrived on time and fixed the vac.
He then said that as the guarantee had expired only recently there would be no charge.
When I think of the trouble I have had with companies trying to disclaim responsibility under the terms of guarantees, Dyson's customer service was truly outstanding.

Forgotten but not gone.

I agree about the excellent customer service provided by Dyson.
We bought a Dyson about a couple of years ago, and unfortunately the motor stopped working. Dyson's sent out a free replacement within a couple of days.
Unfortunately the problem recurred, Dyson sent out an engineer who fitted another new one, saying that the company knew about this problem and were working on it.
The motor burnt out a third time, and Dyson sent out yet another new motor.
The guarantee lasts for 5 years, I believe.
Although the Dyson vacuum cleaner we bought was not up to the job, Dyson's customer care couldn't have been better.0
