matalan luton parking fine

Can someone please help me. I went into Matalan with my daughter and i stayed in the car as we didnt have any cash to put in the machine. As only a few weeks earlier the store had car park attendants dishing out tickets i assumed it was still the same system hence i stayed in the car so i could move it if need be. I was shocked to them get a PCN on the 13th day after I had parked there.
I do not have any proof that we went into matalan as my daughter did not find anything suitable so no purchase was made.
Please someone advise if i have any right to dispute and get PCN cancelled. Many thanks

As it happens I drove past this !!!!!! little store just the other day. As is my habit I looked out for PPC signs but didn't see any. Looking at Google Streetview I can see why: the entrance sign is behind a bloody tree!

Whether you or your daughter intended to be a genuine customer would seem to be irrelevant since it's a P&D car park and you didn't pay (you were parked regardless of whether you got out of the car). Nonetheless, as stated, the Newbies thread will tell you how to fight this.

What company is it? I can't make it out from Streetview.

Why anyone shops at a store that charges for parking is beyond me. You want my custom? Good, make it easy for me then, don't charge me just for being there!
