    MSE article:
What to do if you send money to wrong bank account

It's good that at least you know the recipient.

I was puzzled, as I've never paid for a flight by Bank Transfer, and would be reluctant to do so.;)

    OP have you read this?

    https://wizzair.com/en-GB/BankAccounts

You have to scroll down but it says that
'Non identified payments will be transferred back to the originating bank account, minus the administrative costs.'

Presumably, wizzair will be able to confirm that your payment is a duplicate, so should send it back to your bank account. No idea how long it will take though:cool:
  • Yeah well a while ago paying via transfer was my only option, they would send you their detail and original reference which you"d have to put in the name of recipient....since that it just stayed in my contacts. I was just stupid and never deleted it from online banking. Anyway...
Thank you for that reply it made me feel a lot better. Since yesterday i felt like i had series of mini heart attacks.

I have to say that Lloyds seems quite useful since they started whole process of recovering it.
Apparently it might take from 2 working days to 5 weeks.

I dont mind waiting as long as i got my savings back...
I might keep people updated on the situation as i feel it might be usefull to someone in the future....

Please do, and I hope you get it back quickly.

Time for a 'clear out' of old payees?;)
