RBS PPI claim

I decided to see if I could claim back my PPI from RBS, wrote them a letter with my account number, and they have come back saying and I quote The product/policy referred to was sold by a company which is not part of the RBS group. They say I should apply to that company. Haven't a clue what they mean, as the cards were taken out with RBS. Advice

The card protection was administered by CPP if that's what you mean.

thanks, if they only administered it, it must have been RBS that sold it?

No they never sold it the number you had to call was really CPP when you activated your card.

Their was a mass redress scheme last year.

Has anyone claimed from CPP, how on earth do you claim, as the template letter is nothing to do with RBS
