Evening everyone.
Can anyone help me please.
I have been receiving DLA since September 2013 middle rate care and highest rate mobility. I gave up work Christmas 2013 as I couldn't physically do it anymore I have severe Emphysema. In the last few days someone told me I could have claimed other benefits, could anyone give me any information.
Thank you
Kim

If you have worked until christmas 2013, then you may have had contributions in the most two recent complete tax years at the beginning of this year.
That is, at the beginning of 2015, April 2013-2014, and April 2012-13.
You may be entitled to contribution based ESA, depending on your earnings and other things.
This would not be affected by your husbands income, as a claim for income-based ESA would be.0 -
Thank you
I will ring them then see how I go.
