Hi,
I bought a Canon Pixma MG2950 for printing from my Chromebook. The manual says it should take seconds to set up, however, after an hour of going round in circles, I am at a dead end. This model is Google Cloud print enabled.
First of all, the printer is set up in LAN list. Its IP address does not conflict with anything.
I go to the Google Cloud Printing page where it offers set up instructions for printing if you click on "Canon" amongst other brands, however, the set up page link directs you to a Canon advertising page, with no sign of any set up instructions.
If I go to Chrome Settings, Google Cloud..there is no trace of the printer anywhere, or any option to set it up.
Any help appreciated before it goes back to Argos !

I cannot find much on the subject at all, although I think that the wifi printer has to be set up with a Windows or Mac device, THEN the chromebook can be accessed via my Google account to access the printer.
In summary, set up printer and register with Google Cloud Print can only be done via Windows or Mac, then I can print from Chromebook without the original Windows or Mac PC being on (unlike the Classic Printer set up)
Please someone, is this correct.0
