DLA my daughter has been turned down again

  • Hi poppycat

I would advise you to get in touch with your local Cab. I am on DLA and the first time I applied I was turned down. They can send a specialist in DLA to come to your home and fill out the form for you as they go through the questions with you...as they know how to word it for you. Which was very helpful as its very tiring to fill out and some questions are difficult to know how to answer.

Hope this helps...and hope you get the help you need.

DLA is a joke, i got turned down twice because they said although I fit the criteria I would be ok in 6 months. I applied a third time and was told I did not fit the criteria. i was so incenced I appealed, went to the tribunal myself and won. Got it back dated 9 months.
Keep fighting, don't lie though, just think of the worst day and use that.
    good luck.

There is an organisation which supports those with CMT. Have you tried seeing if they have any ideas about DLA claims?

Many of these support groups are great at knowing the best way to proceed.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)
  • Poppy,

Get in touch with the Welfare Benefits Service through your local Council.

They will help you fill out forms and also appeal any refusals.
