Decent TV/DVD Combi

I have a 19" tv/dvd combi in the bedroom which has packed in. Was a wharfdale but lasted around 6 years so feel i got value for money.
I'm looking to replace with another tv/dvd comb, up to 24". Had also been hoping on a smart tv, but the combis all seem to be budget makes with no smart functions.
Does anyone recommend blaupunkt, from what i read looks like one to avoid?
The other option may just to get a Samsung tv with no video options and stick to netflix and catch up tv?
