Before you think it, nothing nasty, tawdry or sinister going on here.
I have been commenting on a few media sites (well known newspapers), and as soon as I go to make a comment, my PC seems to go wild - the fan speeds up, the PC seems to run 100 times slower and the mouse acts as though it has been shot full of LSD.
It has never happened on MSE, or on motoring forums etc., so do they know who I am, or what i am going to post?
I was never a conspiracy theorist, but this is happening every time now.:(

I find Facebook has a nasty habit of freezing my pc, I would put it down to my laptop if it didn't do likewise on my tablet, netbook and desktop, as well as OH netbook when she accesses Facebook.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

If you run "noscript" or some other addon that blocks cross-site scripting, this will lock up the browser.
It's a problem i've been having recently with sites like eBay, the browser locks up for 2-3mins and the PC slows right down. It's driving me mad, I don't want to turn off this layer of security, but even adding websites to the white list doesn't stop it happening.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I haven't had that problem with NoScript. Works fine here.0 -
I am happy to read this I thought it was just me having issues with FB and e baySpending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0

The ones I am having most problems with are the Guardian and Independent newspapers and FB.
Now that I am back on here browsing, the fan has slowed down and everything is responding as per usual.0 -

Yep same here, i thought adding to the white list as well would cure it, but no it still locks up at times.
Noscript does drive me mad at times.:T0 -
Hi Andy,
Are you running Google Chrome?
If so, are you running any Chrome Extensions? Could you try disabling those temporarily and see if that resolves the issue.
If it does, turn the extensions back on one by one, and see if one of them causes the issue once again, and then you see which extension is causing you problems.
