BT Yahoo Mail Error 18 - How can I resolve it?

Every time I attempt to attach a file to a BT Yahoo email I get the following message,

"Please check your internet connection.

We are unable to communicate with your inbox. You can also reload the page to try to reconnect. Error 18".

I have attempted to attach the file while using IE and Chrome but I get the same error message with both. I have Googled the error but I didn't get the matter resolved.

I can send the same files when using my Gmail but as it is someone else who needs to send the email from their account this is of no use to them.

Can anyone tell me how to sort this for them?

BT Yahoo has been behaving badly for me today (I couldn't download emails to my computer or phone) so it may be that a related problem was affecting attachments too.

I would try again in the morning and see if it still happens.

I concur, started just after lunch but was resolved (for me) about 18.00. Not the first time this has happened. Experience of the first time taught me to ignore it and wait, after I spent a whole day trying to solve the error message that kept coming up!
