You mean she's not a newborn anymore?

My DS1 is 18 next year and the thought of him no longer being a child and mummy's little soldier is so sad (well he will always be that to me secretly):o I really can't believe the time has gone so quickly.Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -

I can't imagine either of them being 18, or even 14, although Ryan is 7 already, and it has just flown by.
In some ways he's quite a young 7, and I think he will need extra support for longer than most kids do, but in other ways he's already just like a teenager! Compared to Natasha though, he just seems so huge and so grown up.
I am up late trying to come up with ideas for Xmas presents - MIL is so difficult to buy for, in fact the only thing that she seems to enjoy is a cup of tea, so I'm making her a tea hamper, with a pretty tea caddy, some posh teas, some fancy biscuits, some scented tealights (well, they're tea related in name at least), and a couple of really nice teacups.
I love the idea of making hampers for people, just need to come up with a few more ideas for other people now. I'm going to have to trawl the occasions board to try and find out where people get their baskets from, as the only ones I have seen have been quite expensive."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I think the hamper things are a fab idea. Elanten posted a link a while ago for re-usable shopping bags, you know the sort of environmentally friendly straw bags (no they are not straw, but some sort of string stuff, oh I don't know, bur you might get the idea). They were really nice, and very affordable. Perhaps you should pm her for the link to have a look?
As I can obviously not make any coherant sense......I will go and put the kettle on again!!
As for the jaffa cakes......go Natasha!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Snaggles,
I would love to see Natasha eating, they are so adorable when they first start to eat...
I lvoe the hamper idea! We did something like that for MIL for her birthday but did it with gardening things in a pair of wellies (ok, I admit, not my idea-pinched it from a magazine) and she loved it! Perhaps what you put it in could be part of the present as well?
Morning btw! x x xEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0
