    YIKES!!!!!

Did anyone else feel the earthquake at 1 o'clock this morning? I leapt out of bed shouting 'Oh my god, the house is wobbling'. Stu said 'it was just the wind' and went back to sleep!

I KNEW it wasn't just the wind though, I honestly thought the house was going to fall down. My first thought was that a plane had crashed, or that I'd dreamt it, so I was sort of relieved to find out it was an earthquake.

    Hahaha, yes.

Although I haven't been outside to check for damage yet, so my relief could be short lived...

Looking at the houses across the road though, everything seems fairly intact.

Actually, thats true. I just heard a fireman saying they were expecting lots of people to be waking up and calling them shortly after with damage thats as yet undiscovered.

    Hope everything is okay, Snaggles.

Lol, yes it's fine thanks - not even any new cracks in the plaster as far as I can see. Just been to do the school run though and I've noticed some damage to street signs/fences etc outside. Some of it is wind damage I think, but one of those free standing street signs on concrete legs has cracked and fallen over, taking a fence with it, so I presume that is down to the quake.

Did you feel it down in Dorset or are you too far away? I know they were saying on the news that people in Kent even felt it!

Maybe you are just too used to the earth moving...;)

It's strange how people felt it as far apart as North Yorkshire and Kent, but some of the middle bits of the country didn't feel it at all, isn't it?

Mind you, Stu slept through it too, and only woke up because I shouted!
