Evening :-)
OH and I are getting married in 6 weeks. It's a very low key, simple affair - midweek, no kids, 14 people altogether, ceremony and then meal afterwards at the venue (local hotel). We'll be done and dusted by 7pm:-)
However they have peeved me off in recent weeks. I originally had a room booked with them to stay overnight with OH. They told me I couldn't check in till 12pm (get married at 2pm) so that would leave less than two hours for myself and 3 others to get ready. They said they only way I could get the room was the book it for the night before, which was no good to me plus it would have increased the costs on our tight budget. So I cancelled it and OH and I are just going home instead.
I then went to pay the remaining balance a few weeks ago and it transpired I've overpaid them. Ok, it's just over £100 so not a great deal of money....I still haven't had it back.
The girl I spoke to when I went to pay said she would speak to the C&B manager and she would contact me. She didn't. So I sent an email last Friday to her to see what was happening with it and she said it would be dealt with on Monday. I haven't heard anything. I know £100 isn't much, but still.
Should I ring up again or just call in and ask for it back? It's been two and a half weeks now....
I don't want to rock the boat with only a few weeks to go but I just feel like I'm not as important as a bride getting married on a weekend and spending thousands, iykwim?
any advice is appreciated x

I would ring them Monday lunchtime and say you are just following up from Friday's conversation, to see if it is happening then and if there's anything they need from you to complete it
;)
And there if nothing has happened, I'd be visiting them Tuesday!!Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts.
