In a similar boat and my rule is I usually work on the trip down if the current project isn't confidential if it is its no work and watch films on the way back, unless its the silly o clock train then I usually sleep on the way down.0 -

It can also depend on if you CAN work - if you are in economy, with no table, then the chance of getting anything done is minimal.0
