Cheap Energy Club shows that I can save with EDF gas only but when I go to their website it will only supply me with electric only or dual fuel. Anyone else found this ?

I have noticed recently that many tariffs are only available for electric only or dual-fuel. Maybe the suppliers are using their gas prices as loss-leaders, but only if you also want electricity. This would explain why only gas prices have been reduced recently, but not electricity.

When I look at the CEC site, I have to look a long way down the list to find the first EDF gas only tariff.
The EDF Blue + Price Freeeeze November 2017 seems the cheapest out of the EDF tariffs available.
It's unit rates are quite competitive, but is has a very high cost standing charge.

For means for average usage that it has a TCR of 3.70p per kWh, compared to the market leaders that have a TCR of 3.26p - 3.28p per kWh (but these are only fixed for 12 months)

EDF standard variable rate has a TCR of 4.78p per kWh
(I think this is the only other EDF tariff available as gas only)

(These are TCRs for the Eastern Region, paying monthly by DD)

Anyway, in answer to your question, according to the EDF website, it does clearly state:
Blue+Price Freeeeze November 2017 is available to Dual Fuel, Electricity only and Gas only customers with Standard and Economy 7 meters.

However, the EDF website does not allow you to compare just gas online (perhaps because online it gives you the prices for all their tariffs, and some of EDF tariffs are not available as gas only - either that or they realise they are not competitive for gas only so no point offering such a quote online)

But what it does say online, when it asks you to choose what you would like a quote for (Dual fuel or electricity only) it does also say:

EDF Blue + Price Promise November 2016 av TCR 3.32, personal TCR of 3.09p for me and 2.90p for my daughter. Showing as the cheapest currently available and at a saving for my daughter of £57 on her current Zog 12 month fix. The big problem is that she does not do telephones. Not enough saving for me to switch.

The T&Cs are the same and do state gas only customers.
