tomorrow i'm gonna say, here's a list of the stuff i need for YOUR JOB pop on down to the merchant & pick it up while i have my lunch break, I'm sure you will find someway to get 3m of copper in your car

if your picking it up in your lunch break, I'm not paying you for your time. You shouldn't be getting paid by anyone for your lunch break, you have it between jobs.

If he is picking it up in his lunch break, then he isn't having a lunch break.

Next time a workman says "yes" to tea, sugar, milk and biscuits, I'm off out the door. Milk and sugar can come from the local shop on the corner, but biscuits have to come from the farm shop some miles further away. I like the tea they sell in Sainsburys. So, that's a round trip of about 14 miles (41p a mile), and a time charge of an hour (or part-hour), and that's £42.

I'll knock it off their bill. I'm sure they'll understand!

Ive never had a job done where I didn't get the price up front, this "wait and see how long it takes" isn't for me

And you have always paid over the odds for the work, as you also bought certainty.
