    If you've not already given the supplier the required 8 weeks to resolve a complaint (or are able to furnish the ombudsman with a deadlock letter issued by the supplier), you've nothing to gain either.

    In fact, not following the suppliers complaint procedure, which includes your right to go to the ombudsman at the appropriate time, can actually delay resolution of a complaint.
