Parking eye in Scotland threatening all sorts of things?

They have sent the third letter to the registered keeper threatening all sort of things. The registered keeper was not driving and nowhere near the place at the time. Should we keep ignoring or tell them the RE was not the driver? How is this likely to proceed?

Do they at any point threaten to hold the keeper liable for the charge?
Keep ignoring.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Not really they just threaten a referral to a Credit Reference Agency, instruction to solicitors to secure immediate payment, referral to debt recovery (can they do that without a court order?) or the issuing of court proceedings0

They can't touch your credit history (they may try to trace you, but so what). Debt collectors are toothless and they have no standing for court proceedings.
Just ignore them. Any acknowledgement will extend the letters by a few months.0 -
why should they need to refer to a credit reference agency?
the info they need is available from the DVLA (Reg keeper) , and as PE clearly know and understand , only the driver of the vehicle is liable in Scotland.
any credit searches performed would be illegal , as they cannot chase you , only the driver.
YOU have not entered into any contract with them (only the driver)
you also say that they say "instruction to solicitors to secure immediate payment" , and again I will add FROM THE DRIVER
do NOT contact them , or any follow up letters from them or debt collectors , ONLY if you receive a VALID letter before action (from PE) and court papers instigated by PE , need you come back to this thread0 -
Report them to Trading Standards. Up in Scotland they are pretty hot on this kind of nonsense, they do not like these companies making threats they cannot or will not carry out.Je suis Charlie.0

Ok so I should it even tell them that the registered keeper was not the driver, just ignore.... Is it likely to go to court?0

DO NOT ring , write or email either PE or debt collectors
sit tight , the law of the land is on your side,
they want you to engage , so that you drop yourself in it , no contact = F567 o56 PE0 -

NO! Do not contact the parking company or debt collector under any circumstances.
Contact Trading Standards in writing tell them that the parking company are making false threats to you, with the intention of getting money they are not legally entitled to. But do not, ever, contact the parking company. All it'll do is cause them to send you even more junk mail.0
