Student Account with CO-OP bank

Hi there
I am a mature student and applied for a CO-OP student account and was initially accepted.
I then after not hearing anything called them to be told I had been rejected.
They could not tell me why.
I have no fines, debts, CCJ nor ever been made bankrupt etc
So they said I could appeal.
However I am wondering why I got rejected? Any ideas? Have you had a similar experience with COOP bank?
Also any further ideas for next best student account?
Thanks
