A few questions if ok

I have a few questions if ok? I moved in to this flat about 19 months ago, when I moved in I had lino put in the bathroom and kitchen, and carpet in the other rooms. However in the bathroom the lino has gone all "lumpy" as it has got walked in. so it's not all flat, and I keep tripping over it
I have tried pulling it up a little and trying to straighten it out, but to no avail, it's not "lumpy" all over, just near the door. I suspect as it's got walked in, it has stretched and probably needs cutting a bit to tighten it up - but I can't do it, and know no one who can. does anyone have any idea's of how I can get nice straight lino
The shop I got it from won't do it, as too much time has lapsed.
Second question is I bought a lovely drop down leaf table and two upholstered chairs, thinking they were delivered already put together, but they are not
again I don't have any friends to help me, and when I tried getting quotes, I was quoted £29 for the first half hour, and £9 there after.. I just can't afford that
Does anyone know of someone who would be able to help me? I am in the Derby area. Thanks for any help

Try putting an advert in your local supermarket for a handyman. When he come round agree a fixed price with him for the jobs you want done. Alternatively have a look in the work wanted section in gumtree.com - you might be able to find someone there. Good luck.0

Can you not ask neighbour/anyone in corner shop ...or even have a go yourself? I have to do that sort of stuff in our house as OH is useless!! Its usually very easy and well instructed.....
