Credit Report going back 10 years?

Hi folks, I'm doing a PPI claim at the moment but most of my credit cards and loans were about 9 years ago and I can't remember who all the accounts were with. I believe CreditExpert and Noddle only go back 6 years. Is there any other way to find out which lenders I was using?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I dont believe there is a way of going back more than 6 years, equifax also do 6 years as well.
What about asking your bank for bank statements to look for a credit card/loan payment to find who you had the card/loan with.0 -
Thanks, I'll give that a try.0

Yes, once off your report the CRAs 'delete' the data so they claim. Which makes sense under DPA where they have the responsibility to not process it any longer than absolutely necessary.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Indeed. No one knows whether they really do delete it, and I doubt the Experian rep will offer an opinion on this matter. The only way you could find out for sure is to file a Subject Access Request (SAR) with the CRAs (£10 fee). That should deliver absolutely everything they have on you.0 -

You are correct, your Experian Credit Report will only stretch back six years I’m afraid, a period of time agreed between the industry and the regulators.
Your Credit Report with Experian may show accounts opened much longer ago than this of course, but only where they were active within the last six years. We do not include credit agreement account numbers on credit reports for security reasons. So if you are making a PPI claim, don’t have the agreement number but the account is included on your credit report, simply include a copy of the entry from your Experian Credit Report with the claim and the lender should be able to locate it on their records.
