Any thoughts please?

We are at the point of exchange of contracts, but our seller may suddenly need to change solicitor (with our blessing, it's a long and unusual story). Question is, how easy would this be? Our solicitor has copies and drafts of all the relevant documents and would be happy to share.
Any thoughts please?
My buyer changed solicitors recently and for me, it has been a pain in the bum as the new solicitor seems a lot slower! The only thing I wanted to say was your solicitor will be happy to share as they will charge YOU for sending out more documents. I had the same thing, two sets of contracts had been sent, one to the old solicitor and one to the new. In hindsight, I wish I had said that the purchasers ask their old solicitor to send the documentation to their new solicitor so they incurred the cost instead of me. Of course my solicitor was also happy to send to the new solicitor but I will have to pay for it, which I think is unfair considering I haven't changed solicitors!0
