I might have my reddest face ever with DS2 tonight :o

I ordered an Indian takeaway for dinner. He's always like a hungry puppy when we order a takeaway and gets impatient because I can never give him an exact arrival time. He hovvers in and around the hallway and is usually on the door handle before the delivery person knocks.
No exception tonight. I was all the way at the other end of the house when it arrived. I was making my way to the door when I heard him say
'That's not ours, we're having Indian food tonight' Then I heard the delivery person checking name, address etc with him. I got into the hall in time to see what was going on but it was one of those moments when I couldn't get to the door fast enough to rescue the situation. I didn't get there in time to stop him saying
'I'm telling you we ordered Indian NOT chinese. Here's my mum she'll tell you'

......yes the delivery driver was a Chinese gentleman :o:o:o

I told him quite firmly to go to the kitchen. Well would he?? Oh no he was convinced there was Chinese food in the bags and he wasn't shutting up about it :o
The worst thing is we only order from takeaways that sell junk like chicken nuggets and burgers too because he doesn't even eat Chinese or Indian food :rotfl::rotfl:
I got a bit more than firm when he said 'I ordered an Indian burger and I'm not eating a Chinese one'
I was honestly burning up by that point and I had to threaten him with no food at all to get him to do what I asked and just go inside.
I tried apologising profusely to the man he just nodded and smiled weakly and was trying to thrust the food bags, which he was still holding, into my hand. Then he left rather quickly :o

That's a takeaway crossed off the list. And another addition to the list of people DS2 isn't allowed to answer the door to. I've already had to train him not to answer the door on a Sunday morning after he challenged some Jehovas witnesses who gave him a leaflet telling him he could 'live forever'

I need to have a conversation with him about it tomorrow but I haven't even figured the content out yet. He got very stroppy when I tried to explain what was wrong earlier.

    JEEZ

Hope all is well, I've spent the last week or so lurking here and there. Struggling to keep up now I'm back at work properly.
I do have the next 4 days at home myself to look forward to though  I'm on holiday and my DD is away with her Daddy for a few days. So I get peace on my lonesome :p:D :rotfl:

I loaded an offer onto my card yesterday from nectar. Buy any Yeo yoghurt in S for 150 points.....seemed very generous as the big pots are only £1 ATM.

Anyway just checked and it's completely disappeared from nectar:o

Think they are playing me at my own game:rotfl:

I feel so relaxed tonight for the first time in days...anti histamines are the way forward:T

Still haven't seen sight of one yet.

Has DD been out driving on her own yet.?

Yes she has, against my better judgement :o She didn't go too far though.
I drew the line at her taking it out tonight to a night out with her mates though. Don't think it's a good idea to be driving a carful of probably drunken teenage girls around
I have to say I had a lot more confidence in DS1 when he passed his test. I hope I'm not being unfair on her :o She's just not always as level headed. I call it sensible.....she calls it favouritism :o

No I think you are being wise FC.....how many more parents would say "if only":o

Something has to change about the driving culture of the young ....peer pressure, over confidence, full cars, drink, showing off, late night driving, too fast .....I could go on but you get the picture....

But what the answer is......no idea:o
