Got home from hospital to find DS1 here with DS4. Kettle on and sat around chatting until DS1 went to do his shopping then bus home.

My eyes are still wide open, hard to blink etc  results from today's visit is that I have cataracts, these prevent fluid from draining and are the cause of pressure building up in the eye and can cause glaucoma.

Right, so I now await an appointment to go and have the first one done. Have also been told today that as my eyes are at the moment, with these glasses, I am not 100% suitable for driving  so Mr Optician had better pull his finger out and get my new glasses ready quick smart :)

I have noticed my eye sight getting worse and had just assumed it was due to the fact I was needing new glasses, just goes to show. So I should get an appointment within 2 months and it looks like I'll be starting a New Year not clear of hospitals but still on the ruddy treadmill of treatments grrrrrrr

Sorry to moan, I realise there are others on here much worse if than me (((hugs))) to you all.

I'm going to open a bottle of something nice tonight, make it last for 2 or 3 nights. Lovely weekend :)

Sorry to hear about your cataracts aj. Hope you get a quick appointment.

LS, hope you got on ok today x

Thank you. Was fine, but a lot of hanging about. Driver was early, no traffic so really early for appointment. Afterwards getting out of london was murder.

I really like driving through london and looking at houses and guessing how much they're worth. Don't know how anyone affords to live in London, or certainly the central parts.

Drove along a road called Avenue Road in NW8. Nice looking houses, I can imagine in other parts of the South they might be worth 1-2 million. Looked up on zoopla and right move and these houses were starting at 25 million.
    Total madness!

I appear to have badges too, I think they are just equivalent to the medals. One for my first post, one for 10, 100, 500 and 1000. I have been a member a long time too. I don't reckon they will be around for long, they are ugly and not even in any kind of order!

Quidco told me on livechat that they've pulled the £10 promo

"We are honouring this for people that have activated and made a purchase before the offer was closed at 11:00 on the 09/10/2015

We had to close the promotion due to high demand, unfortunately those that did not activate the bonus and make a purchase before the offer was closed will not be eligible"

So it would seem that even if you activated it, if you haven't actually made a purchase by this morning you can whistle for the £10.

What was the point in activating it then? They should have pulled it when X people activated, not when X people claimed it

At least I have one qualifying transaction on one account so I'm potentially £10 better off than I otherwise would be. I would just have felt better if I got a backup transaction done

That's poor. Like you say what was point of activation. Also I may have made a purchase today and not realised it had been pulled. Could have gone through Q last night for Viking but TCb was better rate and I thought I had all month to purchase.
Will stick to TCb in future. Thanks for the info aau xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

I wonder how many people have activated it, are going to make a £10 purchase in October but they won't find out it's been cancelled until they notice they didn't get the bonus and get in touch with Q in November/December/beyond....
