skimming through I first thought you meant Nigel the dog on Gardeners World :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Good morning everyone
Quick question, my car lights have gone this morning, not good when it is foggy and dark and everyone keeps flashing at you  need to get fixed today
How much should a main car lamp and side light cost ?
Oh usually deals with any car related stuff but he is in bed with flu, so I am going to have to take it to a garage, any help would be much appreciated Thank you0 -

You'll be cheaper buying bulbs and paying £6.99 at Halfords for fitting per bulb than going to a garage unless you have a very good contact at said garage.
Of course you can youtube your car and see how easy it is to DIY.0 -

The price of bulbs varies vastly from car to car, I know OH only paid a couple of quid for his last time but that was for a Citroen van. Might be an idea to make a phone call or two, Halfords fit the bulb you buy from them for £5 up, do you have anyone else that can fit it for you, not normally a difficult job. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I have come to the conclusion it is not worth paying extra for quicker delivery from Amazon. When I ordered a Blu-ray from them for DD's boyfriend's birthday the delivery was between 14 -21 October. Then I got bored a couple of days later and decided to have a go at them, it was after all available for delivery next day if you were on Prime. That resulted in the delivery being changed to "expedited" and I was told it would arrive between 10 - 14 October, still not great but better. I have had an email this morning and it will be arriving today
In all seriousness though, I have finally got fed up of Amazon's attitude towards non-prime customers and think I shall be taking my custom elsewhere whenever I can. Only problem with this was that it is a 3D Blu-ray and they are not easy to get in local shops, and, well, Amazon was the cheapest
I agree Enterprise. Amazon has been my "go to" place for most things for several years. But now they have a minimum £20 to get free delivery they're not so good. I've taken to using Bespoke Beat my price for DVD's recently. Usually they can beat the price or at least negate the postage amount. Used to get loads of Amazon vouchers from various sites but now I'm opting for alternatives.0 -

Halfords have a free winter check that started yesterday and lasts till spring. They check bulbs, windscreen wipers and even fill up your screenwash all for free. As far as I am aware if you need bulbs you will buy them from Halfords and they will fit them for you. What I don't know is whether they charge you for fitting.0 -

Well finally got £15 from BT for the disruption to my broadband last week. Gee, it was like getting blood out of a stone  Twice I arranged a time slot for a manager to call me and twice they didn't. Finally got a really helpful CSA who put it though for me :A
Now I just need to get my three recycling bins emptied, outstanding from last Friday  Apparently our cul-de-sac is missed so often that we are now to have a site visit!0
