- I have a list
Printed off the 'how to care for my cats & how electrical items work' for Parents.
Need to remove cig butts from garden next
I love this....just the sort of thing I used to do when my parents were alive and visited
You assume that they regress to children as they get older and are incapable of operating anything electrical or care for animals....and then suddenly the child in us re emerges when we see the need to dispose of the evidence of anything that perhaps we might think our parents might disapprove of.
For me it wasn't cigarette butts...but I had this compulsion to remove wine from the fridge in case they ever thought I drank it....strangely enough wine in a rack was fine as an ornament but the act of keeping it in the fridge gave the impression I actually consumed it....frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -

When I saw that they were now on their website I decided to share with all you English people who are now going to be in the same boat as us and paying for your carriers. I really resent paying 5p for each carrier that will fall apart if you load 2x2lts of milk in it. I also resent paying 10-30p for a 'bag for life' that is not a lot better. Like the shoulder straps on these so you can carry one everywhere.
If you haven't bought any then get in there quickly as these bags are an absolute steal & you can use them for far more than shopping. A lot of mine are used for storing excess glitchy stuff - having run out of storage space.:o

It's a shame you can't buy a lot of their goodies online - like all their egyptian cotton sheets and towels as they are the best available to buy anywhere. Some stuff appears to be seasonal so not always available or just available when they can buy at a knock down price.
Well worth a look in their stores if you are passing one in Wales or West Country. Have bought some wonderful quilted throws in there in the past - super king size for around £25ish.0 -

Here is Mrs Tibbs who has no sign of any legs :rotfl:
this is know as the cottage loaf position“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

on the very rare occasions our eldest makes a vist eg this coming weekend then the entire house has to be scrutinised for her inspection - intense scrubbing goes on for days - she wont accept it that we had the builder for our 3 weeks and dust is still settling everywhere and it will take days to catch up.
The fridge has to be aspirational - at least 2 shelves of fruit and veg, no biscuits and nothing pre packed as she cooks from scratch, every single night
She is also convinced we are alcholics so most of the wine is hidden away
bedrooms and bathrooms have to be up to five star hotel standard“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
MHOC if you're still about I remember you talking about Evans last week. I was in Chester on Saturday and can confirm that Evans still have a concession in BHS hth0

Thankyou WIRS, I have ordered some along with a tea cosy, not quite the pattern I want for the cosy but it's so hard to find decent ones these days so pleased for any as they get stained so easy.
