I generally feed my cats on tins which are 400g. These average out about 50p a tin or so. To my knowledge what's in a pouch is no better than what's in a tin? There is a convenience element though.
I used to find the maths easy when pouches were 100g......4 pouches= one tin. Now they have been reduced to 85g it's very messy in my head:rotfl:
All I will say is that yes, the pouches are a bargain if you buy them anyway or they are in a convenient place for you to buy. They aren't so much of a bargain if you usually use tins anyway, or have to travel far to find them. You do get a big APG but if you'd normally spend £2.50 on 6 tins of cat food and you haven't got any pouches near you that only work out marginally cheaper (dis-regarding petrol/time costs) then you aren't missing out that much. I've got some but I just know my cats don't love me any more because their food came from a pouch:rotfl:
Exactly my thoughts - cat food maths could seriously give you headaches.
Sachets come in 50g 85g and 100g sizes. The big boxes can be 40 44 48 or even 50 sachets so to get a true value you have to multiply sachet by number in a box and divide by 100
Then there is the jelly versus gravy debate
Then you have to consider recycling. Cans need washing out but can be recycled. The empty sachets can go on the fire but otherwise they get a bit smelly in the bin
Also depends on the appetite of your cat, one cat on its own might take most of the day to finish a tin which in the meantime starts to get a bit smelly. And in this hot weather you can only put small spoons out so there are no left overs to attract flies.
Also depends on how many cats and/or hedgehogs you feed.
I've got 3 and they are mostly gravy eaters at the mo which makes life difficult as each store only seems to stock one gravy type. Fortunately they will all eat the same food - there have been times when I've had to have 3 versions of sachet as at the time they all eat different things“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
check your chromecast offers page people

I just got a 2 months sky movies pass. (3 months was also available but I'm guessing that one will only work on a new account because it wasn't accepted on our current Now TV account)
I've already applied the voucher and cancelled it so that I won't be charged in 2 months time
Thanks to HUKD for the heads up

I have a greedy one who eats anything that's put out. My other one should really be a lone cat who can nibble at leisure. obviously she can't because if she leaves anything then the greedy one finishes it :rotfl::rotfl:
We still have an occasional visitor too who seems to sneak in when they are both sunbathing in a greenhouse and solves the problem:rotfl:
My cats are deffo jelly catsI once fed them supermeat which I bought by mistake and they all left, kicking the cat flap behind them in a 'are you having a laugh' sort of way :rotfl:

Yup, if you have a chromecast you can access this offers page (they pretty regularly have free now tv passes for new/existing accounts plus other goodies)
Right now I'm on a 3 month Entertainment pass, a 2 month movie pass, a free movie rental on Google Play (and some music guff too :rotfl:)
The chromecast has paid for itself in no time :money:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

I wouldn't. They are likely to reject anything over your 5 a day. save it for tomorrow and start again.
Slow and steady wins the race. if it lasts six days I will make £1800 -

Anyone watch Orphan Black & is waiting for the new one - third series?
It's already been on BBC3 - think episode 7 is next, they are doing 2 most nights. It's on at an ungodly time in the morning 1-3am. ish. BUT you can catch up on all episodes on BBC i player.
Such a good series - why the hell are they showing when all of us should be in bed?
The one they are showing late at night is repeat of season 2. My bet is season 3 is due soon. Will be on a Friday or Sunday at 9 pm then.
