The 2 tubes of stuff looked the same........glad I tested on my thigh first as I'd have looked like an oompahloompah if I'd put one of them on my face  :rotfl:frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

(sorry couldn't resist). They are getting more difficult though, the gits :rotfl:
Well done purpledonkey :T:T:T0 -
I had a similar experience with fake tan some years ago....and I have never gone near the stuff since whether that be a test product or a freebie
I just tested on my thighs where no one could see it *sigh* :rotfl:
It never said where you actually had to put it
I've not tested anything in ages because I've not had the time (or the inclination) to write reviews and fill in questionnaires lately.0 -
Hope all goes well today Fairclaire0

I wish I had your resolve FC...I am a sucker for a beauty test, although I am getting better and am slowly reducing the 2 case fulls that I have...
I am learning to just apply for the things I actually use or need rather than strange combos of something
my weakness is beauty Bible....not exactly a freebie but well worth the £30 upfront cost.
I seem to have moved on to household appliances....currently testing a steam generator and have also received a cordless vac(although I had to pay a contribution to the vac...but I do like it)frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

This made me laugh more than it should have'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -
I've just sorted my Car Insurance out.
I've realised that the cashback sites are really NOT worth the hassle of waiting to see if you do eventually get the cashback back. The prices nearly always seem to increase by the cashback amount.
It seems like Aviva now have a minimum price of £186 which they won't go below AND instead of being able to put excess down to zero - as I've always done they now bottom it out at £350 excess:eek:
Having swapped normally between Aviva & RAC & waited nearly a year for cashback on each, putting in tickets each time, I decided enough was enough.
Renewal from Aviva £195. Aviva via web £198 with £50 cashback from TCB & £60 from Quidco. BUT £350 compulsory excess and maybe a year before you get cashback + the hassle of tickets etc.
Done the comparison sites & trying to go directly as cashback sites wipe out any savings by upping the premiums. Swinton was coming out best for me. I decided to not cover my NCB (I've had 40yrs without an accident - what's the betting I might regret this?:o) £50 excess and £100 compulsory excess. Cost £131.25:T:T:T
Saw some sites that gave free legal BUT from what I've read you just as well phone one of those insurance sites as they work harder for you. Comments appreciated on this one! The free recovery service - hmmm - the times we've broken down have been at home, which they don't cover & lots don't cover within 5-10miles, which often is as far as we go. Will sort out my own insurance in next couple of days that will do home breakdowns - I know there are cheapies out there as used to have one & it was fine.
I'm happy with £131.25.0 -

Firstly, well done for getting a good price:j
Secondly, the bold bit shouldn't happen, a quidco rep posted somewhere on MSE that they would investigate if this occurred as it was against their rules.
The insurance legals will only work for you if they see money in it for themselves, the legal insurance should pay out if you need their help, whether there is something in it for them or not. Also the "I've got legal cover, so see you in court" may make the other side give in sooner than without it. Who knows, just hope you never need to find out.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
