Hmmm trying to work out if its cheaper to get £19.99 of petrol and using a tsb contactless card to get 5% back = £1 I think.

Or wait till 1st Oct to get petrol at sains as think there is some offer there (5p off a litre I think)

Also how close are you to this months £100 target?

And can you wait until October 1st or will you be running on fumes?

I discovered I could use the card in Wilkinsons yesterday so I've been in and out twice now for bathroom bits, stuff I was getting anyway so now I am only about £20 off target

    So that's Aldi, B & M, Spar and B & M I've used it in now.

I've missed the catfood dea detailsl... Not that we'll have much room left in the car either. I've plenty of photo's from the Comic-Con of various costumes to share which I'll upload in due course unfortunatly the internet is too poor to do it any sooner. :-(

I hope you learned from the master and bought 1 of each.. i.e 8 in total :)
  • Just nipped to local Co op and noticed Lanson Black Label champagne £19.99 until 13 October.
Sainsbury have it on offer too but at £22, Tesco at £20, don't know about anywhere else.

    Morning :D

I survived the day :) we were locked out of the house for an hour yesterday  so my nails didn't get done and I forgot to put the vodka in my bag. Probably just as well - me and my bestie got through 3 bottles of wine between us then MG bought another bottle and joined us. Add in the few glasses of prosecco too...Of those who stayed overnight, it was definitely the brides side who were all hurting this morning

A fab time was had by all. My table actually wasn't too bad, there were some nice people there :)

The bride looked amazing and MG did really well with his father of the bride bits :)

It was morning when I started typing this but I'm hurting now and struggling to focus :o :rotfl:

I need a miracle hangover cure :rotfl:

See we told you it would turn out a lot better than you thought it might and you were fretting about nothing.

These events often turn out well, everyone is there to have a really nice day and be on their best behaviour.

I turn myself inside out, fretting myself into a stupor about social do s. Mind you I've had to go to 2 OHs work functions last year and they were really OMG awful - mainly because of being sat on tables with people who insist on shop talk.
The first do a chap had to be told by management to curb it, not only was he monopolising the conversation about how great work was in the olden days but then he started on the topic of accidents and fatalities
2nd one I only agreed to go to because it was at Jamie's in Birmingham and when we arrived I hoped that they were going to mix the depots up, looked like some interesting people.
but again we were sat on a table with a couple and they were bending the managers ear about work place practice in regards to child care provisions and work share :(
Sadly we got on the train afterwards and the same couple were in our carriage and the exact same conversation went on for another hour all the way back :(
