We went on a Nile cruise a few years ago, we went on the Ra II. It was utterly amazing and totally exhausting, I will never ever forget it. :D

That's nice to know E ...as I have got older just sunbathing on a beach abroad or by the pool is not my idea of a holiday..instead I like a bit of culture and visit places I have only ever seen in magazines and the like..this is somewhere I have always wanted to see before I get to an age where I can no longer travel;)so looking forward to it

Thank you Wacky, but too wide :(

I have a 30cm gap, that's why I ended up with a swing bin last time. Waiting for my John Lewis vouchers to go into Reading to have a look around!

I'm surprised Dotty didn't have anything to say about that :rotfl:

    Evening

ILTS I hope you found some pain relief. Toothache :( I'm sure any of your neighbours would have been happy to have given you some painkillers. Most people are more than happy to help someone in pain.

The kids and I went to a photographer tonight. It was really good fun. The photographer is a man I met through work. He does photography classes for us. He's a total nutter, in the nicest possible way and these weren't your normal posed photos :D I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished ones.

Then I went into the deepest, darkest recesses of my storage items. I knew I had all my stuff from my teenage trip to Sweden stashed away in there. DS2 is really keen to buff his project up a bit. Well ok, it stank of mustiness but OMG  I had kept absolutely everything :D (it was my first solo trip at the tender age of 14) my boarding passes from the plane, the menu from the plane, every leaflet from every place I visited......there was loads!
I found the diary I'd kept for the 2 weeks I was there. I honestly don't think I've read it since. The detail is astounding  it was a bit surreal reading my own 14 years old self's take on things. But best of all is that I literally recorded every single thing I ate whilst I was there :rotfl::rotfl: every single meal!

Other than being disgusted that I ate reindeer ( I think in his head they have red noses and bells on their antlers) He's absolutely delighted :D it's given him loads of typical food to research and add to his project.

QOC hope you had a good holiday ....were your girls pleased to see you;)as sounds like asbo was :)

I have just booked to go on a Nile River Cruise with a friend at the end of February ...something that was on my Bucket List;)so something to look forward to in the New Year.

    Nanny you will love it.
My mum went with her sisters for the youngest 60th birthday and she was initially worried but had a great time. Excursions start early morning but you are back on the ship for lunch. What mum loved most is they invite different stall holders on each day so she could shop in peace with no hassle or haggling.
Her youngest sister was 70 this year so they are off to Naples next month to see all the places of interest including Pompeii.

I have visitors until Sunday night as dd is running the local half marathon at the weekend.

    V x
