I could do with hiring a dish washer of the manual variety for the weekend. :rotfl:

At least we are having no bother with the seating plans this time.

I haven't organised a cake do you think anyone will notice if I just buy one at As. :o
  • Thank you for all the suggestions, whisky Bleurghh as for salt water yuck, the drill and string seem quite tempting ;)
I now have a hot water bottle on my face which is helping and have brushed my teeth to try and ease it(it didn't ).
Ts I did think champagne lol, my nearest shop is tesco but my oh is at work and my eldest is at football so can't leave home. There's no one close enough I could ask and don't feel as opi can knock on neighbours doors yet :)

  • TM - it was a banana.... they charged me 50p for one flipping banana!

    But hey ho x
Ed's also send free milkshake vouchers on your birthday (I love their shakes!) and also regularly send members 50% off food vouchers - had one to use last weekend visiting friends in York. I have found today that they are opening an Ed's in Nottingham next month, so won't have to travel to Derby anymore! Yay!

    I need educating!

  • I think my problem is that until I was about 30 I was a size 8, on the bottom half anyway :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And now I am imagining you as a small, petite woman with HUGE boobs!

Good evening tweets that's good news ...they normally tell you what number it is and then let you know if is too high or not.My DH 's was 9.5 when he had his Heart attack at 50years old but some people can make cholesterol regardless of Diet and so he got put on Statins to lower it :(

My cholesterol level was always around 4 but, when my thyroid went underactive, the level rose (Doc said that was a side effect of the thyroid problem). After I got my weight down nearly 2 stone the cholesterol stabilised around 5.5 - which the Doc said was fine as I am fairly low on their 'risk' calculator and my good:bad ratio is good.

A couple of months ago I had a routine blood test and saw a different Doctor - who muttered darkly about my level being raised (6.6) and poo poo-ed any refence to ggo:bad ratios and wanted to bung me straight on statins. Incidentally it wasn't a 'fasting test'. Obviously I don't want to take chances but I thought I was doing OK with my usual Doctors advice and I'm a bit upset now. She agreed that I could make a real effort to get my levels down with diet and I'm getting another test done first thing tomorrow morning - I've been having those cholesterol reducing drinks every day, sticking to low fat yoghurts, almost cutting out cheese, reducing alcohol and obsessing over food labels/sat. fat content. Also, eating plenty of various types of beans. I'm all panicked now about tomorrows test - I would have gone today but had a bloody awful nightmare last night and woke my DH up screeching, thrashing about and stripping all the bedclothes off !!! I dreamt a perishing enormous spider landed on my face and scared the hell out of my DH with my screaming.
