Mr TS has been rubbing down since he got in from work.

I'm not getting involved don't want to risk any breathing problems. He is also scrapping up the old carpet. It's that awful 70s kitchen carpet that there must have been an offcut of, the backing has turns to yellow dust when you try and take it up.

Only passing it on, someone posted about two threads back.

So thanks to them (whoever it was):T

    Thanks locarr...think I managed to get a sample:j

So pleased to hear the good news about little Alice......just wondering whether it was a reward paid to someone who found her or was she held as random and the family paid up:o
I really hope it wasn't the latter......
Hi TM, I don't know the full details but I don't think it was the first option unfortunately:( I think that the owners relentless efforts to spread the word about the reward 'persuaded' someone to return her:(

Is that the ones that were "Special purchase" £5:eek: on Monday? And, I notice, £4 in A (just showing how  the £5 price was).

You know - I'm not sure about the tins this time. Given that we've had the cartons (about half the weight, or possibly slightly more than that) at 2 for £2 (that offer is due to end in M today) - a price of £3.50 (and then having to buy twice as much to get that 'discounted' price) seems too much. I think I'll just empty the contents of my cartons into an old tin (recycled from last year) and then pretend it was that! Seems best to have stocked up on cartons to me - albeit they didn't cover all the various sweets flavours - these tins now need to go down to £2 each before they become 'worthwhile'.:rotfl:

Tell you, the one I really got stung on:o:o - a few years back, I wasn't very savvy at all - was a tin of Haribos at 'half price' £5. Turned out to contain ten packs of Haribo sweets. That's right - I could probably have bought ten individual packs at 10p each and cost myself £1.00. Instead, ten packs of not very many sweets inside a tin for £5:eek:. Ten packets of sweets and one very very expensive tin:(. Never again. They're just not worth it IMO. People pay amazing amounts of cash just to have things in tins:(:( (like I myself did on that occasion:o).

EDIT: I may as well add this now - another branded item on which eye-watering prices appear. I've seen own-brand versions of frozen yogurt at 50p and 25p before.

Ben & Jerry's Greek Style Blueberry Cheesecake Frozen Yogurt (500ml)

    Store_2.15px.png
    £4.45 any 2 for £6.00

Seems a very inflated price (as mbuy prices often seem to be), particularly compared to Waities at £2.49 at the moment. I mention this just to tell you that there is some Ben & Jerry's frozen yogurt 500ml in M at £1.:D So much for £4.45:eek::eek: and 2 for £6! Not sure if it is "Blueberry Cheesecake" though:(:o:o - I'll have a closer look tomorrow fwiw if I go there, which I probably will, if it's still around (as it was £1 RTC). I have it as "Ben & Jerry's Frozen Yogurt 500ml" - I wasn't aware of the significance of whether it was being Blueberry Cheesecake or not. At £1, it's still too much for me - given own brand frozen yogurt of this quantity briefly appeared in one of my Ms at 25p months ago but, I know some people may like Ben & Jerry's.
