Just to update you about Alice, the little dog that was stolen from the local car boot sale. She was returned home last Thursday:j:j:j A reward of £500 was offered for her safe return. I do not know the details but the reward money was paid out and the exchange made through a third party. I am pretty sure that her safe return was only made possible through the determination and relentless efforts of her owners to make it such a high profile case.
If anyone would like to see the updated facebook page this is the link. There is a video on 18th Sept of the young boy when he see Alice again for the first time, he is speechless :)https://www.facebook.com/Aliceishome?fref=ts

:j:j:j So glad Alice is home :j:j:j

Off to the Facebook page :D

Were you normal to start with? :p

I'm making my friends wedding cakes in a months time, well a 6 inch cake and 120 cupcakes to be precise all in varying flavours of chocolate. Aside from needing 34 eggs and 3.25kg of butter, I also need 1.4kg of cocoa powder. If anyone notices any cheap(er) baking ingredients I would be very grateful if you would give me shout :)

I'd have been doodling all over that page:o

  • For those of you with Osteoarthritis like me, who find that damp weather exacerbates it. Try using a good dehumidifier - the ones that take litres of water out of the room a day. I use this one.

I find that it helps a LOT with the pain, although it doesn't take it all away.

Had a docs appt. yesterday with results of the MRI. Yep it's osteoarthritis as suspected BUT I also have diabetic neuropathy, even though my sugar levels are within specs.:( Doc has just upped my painkillers & given me some different ones on top to try.:( My back keeps popping/scraping but instead of giving me another MRI which I think I need, as often I can't even get out of bed as can't sit up, apart from the fact I'm in pain most of the day - she thinks it's all diabetic neuropathy & osteo so says there is nothing they can do except drugs. :(

I really don't like taking drugs as seem to be allergic to a lot of them. I'm frightened of drug interactions, after mum passed from her severe allergic reactions to drugs, that some of the docs said were in her imagination - they granulated her liver & lungs & she was far fitter than I am now at her age.

I suppose I have to see how these do and maybe change docs if these don't work. I also need to do some reading up as I don't like how I'm feeling these days.

    Thanks locarr...think I managed to get a sample:j

So pleased to hear the good news about little Alice......just wondering whether it was a reward paid to someone who found her or was she held as random and the family paid up:o
I really hope it wasn't the latter......

Ive had an email from them today offering a second main meal for £1.
So up to now I have a free sharing platter, a free garlic bread and now a cheap main meal.
