I'm just coming here to post (I'm awake, as usual, and haven't been to bed yet, so no disturbed sleep or anything) - I've been thinking, some hours ago, that I won't go to Morrisons on Monday (today:D) but might go on Wednesday. Just to let you know.
Right, I'm going now - probably off to bed.:wave:0 -
(re your post 6)
Savvy the price before reduction was £3 - unless they increased the price from £2.45 only to then make a below half-price offer. £2.45 is Tesco price
Thanks - I've just noticed this post (as I happened fortuitously to be coming in on this thread). First price isn't the old price in M. First price is the T price, then the M price. That's how my lists work. Hope that clarifies what you're looking at:).
T M
Quorn Mince (500g)£2.45 £1.49
So that, in theory, you'd know what you were spending in T (as it's a possible Tvs M list) and what difference back you might get (if it were to be that T PP decides to compare the same way as my own Morries instore checking). (If I were showing old M prices, which I do sometimes when it's a reduction from what previously made it - probably wrongly therefore! - to my list, then it would appear as Quorn Mince (500g)£2.45 [Strike]£3.00[/Strike] £1.49, assuming the previous price in M was £3, which I have no idea as I have no need to check that information - I'm looking only at items that, in my view, now represent 'good value' on current M prices and not at what previous prices may or may not have been. Previous prices being seen as more promotional tools than anything else, whereas it's the actual level of the current price that is the factor that is significant to take into account, for money-saving purposes - stating a previous price, indeed, tends to encourage buying something when in fact it may not represent good value on the current price, just merely look that way because of the higher reference price (as it's called). So I tend to avoid that, in the list. If, hypothetically, T had been £3 and was now £2.45, I might have shown that as Quorn Mince (500g)[Strike]£3.00[/Strike] £2.45 [Strike]£3.00[/Strike] £1.49. (This example would show the previous prices at both T and M.) You can tell, as, if it's a 'reduced' price, the previous price is crossed out and the (uncrossed) price that immediately follows it is then at the same store. HTH.)
Bear in mind the prices at the other stores (A and T) as stated on the list may occasionally be - or become - out of date, although I do try, in vain, to keep up with them. I don't often check A and T systematically however as it's impossible to spend that time (theoretically not impossible - I could, in theory, spend every waking minute here and/or have teams working for me to do so (and paying them for that privilege:eek:), but, in practice, it is impossible) - occasionally, and haphazardly, I come across individual changes and, if anyone spots any, please PM me with the information so I can update them on the list.
(In the case of the 500g Quorn Mince - T £2.45 M £1.49: or you could just buy in M at the lower price, unless you have for example cond.spends to use in T and are hoping to reach that amount much sooner by T's 'high' price and are hoping (praying) for a price match (vs M- not Northern Ireland) back, which of course you may or may not get.)0 -
