so I was suppose to get a connection on the 19th Aug and it has been delayed 3 times so far (5th Sep, 11th Sep and now the 21st).
I paid my line rental up front.
I'm only getting through the the Indian call centres and they are saying there is nothing they can do to help speed it up. I dont believe this, and whats more frustrating is that I can see the exchange from my Flat.
What are my options here? I have an open complaint with BT not only for the service being severely delayed but also being hung up on by a number of their advisors, I have contacted them by twitter, I have used their chat now function and I have rang them (A LOT)!

3 to 5 weeks is not unusual for such a provision, it really depends on the workload at the exchange-your distance from the exchange is not relevant. Fixing faults on existing lines will always take priority over new connections-you don't actually say if you are waiting for a new line provision or just for broadband to be enabled on an existing line?
BT Retail are at the mercy of BT OR for this work, and OR are not accountable to the public, so there's little more you can do.No free lunch, and no free laptop
