Hi all Im a newby seeking advice so hope im on the right forum. Booked a cruise sailing in Nov 05. Fist Direct just contacted me saying somebody in their admin has cancelled all the cruises by mistake (effects about twenty people im told). I have lost my pre booked cabin and similar ones are now fully booked. They have offered upgraded accom for both weeks but this now means a change of room halfway through. The main thing is they want me to sign a clause which states if lesser accom becomes available i would be down graded to it. I am reluctant to sign as I think it may be a con. Any advice please!

I'd be reluctant too, tell them you're unwilling to sign the clause as this is their mistake. Who's in charge of these people/is their ombundsman, is it ABTA? Could you namecheck them?

Is the cruise the OV trans atlantic cruise?
If it is go to the web site and see what cabins are still there.
If no cabins you are there that you like I would cancel and save your money and get a late.
IMHO...I wouldnt do a trans on OV we did the Caribbean 2 week one on it and the flippin thing bobs on a buckets of spit so no telling what it will do going across the pond.
And inside cabins mid ship deck E deck are less bobby do not have one at the front it will be like being on a roller coaster

Thanks for all the suggestions. No its not crossing the Atlantic. Its a Caribbean cruise. I am in contact now with ABTA. Thanks again.
