Would a double bed frame fit into an Estate?

Not sure where to post this, but I have just seen a double bed frame, it ends later. Just waiting for seller to reply as to whether the base is solid or whether it comes apart....thinking ahead though, do you think a double frame will fit into Astra estate.....obviously if the base doesn't come apart then I have a roof rack it could go on? Or would that be unsafe (I'd tie it down lol but would with width be to big to travel?)

As you can tell I am not the most clued up person in the world!

I can't find my tape measure to see if it'd go in. I reckon the head borad would just not sure about the long sides (if it does dismantle)

If it comes apart you should be fine....................

I got a kingsize bed bed in a Cavalier hatchback once

The shop said that it couldn't be done and that I would have to pay for delivery

The long sides are about 6 feet long and should go even if you have to lay the passengers seat back to do it

My sister's just moved out, and her double bed went on a roof rack fine. It was only to the other end of the village (a bit over a mile) though
