With an attitude like this I would walk away from the deal altogether. They do not have the right to sell a car they do not own, nor sell a car that they really do not know the condition of fully yet.
I know this sounds patronising but there is a good lesson here NEVER to rush such purchases. Dealers will pick up on this and prey on who they see as a vulnerable buyer and screw them over as much as possible.
You may be better to walk away and lose the deposit or if the T&C's permit fight to get it back. Was in on credit card?
Look at he sales order and go to CAB if reqd to get them help you interpret what is correct.0 -
