I am running an old Windows desktop PC and using Firefox as my web browser.
From time to time I try to clean up and the exercise does improve the speed.
A few weeks ago AVG offered me a free go at tuning up the PC and this did make an improvement and zap some rubbish.
AVG then tried to sell me a regular tune up subscription service.
I ignored the regular pop up repeats of this suggestion.
Now I appear to be being offered a free clean up and web security add-on,
What are the downsides to accepting this offer ?
