Hi,
I have just found employment and my employer is requesting a dbs check to keep me employed. Would the jobcentre pay for the check to be done ? Please help

If you are currently on JSA they may assist you - ask about the discretionary fund. They may ask if you have other funds available. If you are not in receipt of JSA (or ESA) they are unlikely to help.0

Can you not afford one of those prices??? Surely investing in a job would be the best idea?
Maybe someone else will be able to say if DWP will pay, But I doubt it.0 -

£26 may not sound a lot but it is on JSA. I know the NHS in my area does not charge.0 -
The check for the NHS is £44 and as someone else said, some Trusts pay for it and some don't. And some make you also pay for the update service which is another £13 a year.0
