Housing disrepair compensation negotiation letter templates?

I've managed to get my landlord to start negotiating compensation for Housing disrepair compensation, and whilst I have a list of the breakdown costs I'm requesting I was wondering if there is a correct way to lay out the first proposal negotiation letter properly just incase it needs to go to court?
Exhausted Google to no avail.. Seems this area of housing law is shrouded in solicitor legal fees which is a bit unfair!
Any help or direction is much appreciated!

As you are so insistent that this missing exemplar is so needed, why not post the version you end up using?? i.e Do others a favour,
What actual financial loss have you suffered & can prove?? (eg heating broke, needed to buy electric fires & got higher electric bills). How much has landlord offered so far & how much more compo do you think you are due??0 -
Layout is irrelevant; there is no "correct" way.
What is important is to state clearly the cost for which you are seeking reimbursement.
These have to be actual costs or losses you have suffered. You will be laughed out of court if you start claiming emotional distress etc, etc.0 -
have already trawled those sites, who dont have anything on negotiating settlements.....
As duty has already been accepted and thankfully never denied since landlord (social housing) was caught out, I have a breakdown of costs and supporting medical evidence so no fear of being laughed out of court as case is founded.
Ive found a rejection to the first offer letter via "personal-injury-settlement-offer" just nothing about its opening predecessor which is key to negotiating properly.....
Ombudsman has some nice case examples when it comes to working out how much is too cheeky...
Ill post the eventual letter i use when i get a reply to it... am currently constructing one with the help of some personal injury, medical malpractice templates and some published local authority policies on compensation guidelines.. shame my LA doesnt have one, perhaps i can sell them one when I've cashed my cheque.
You can pay me later....0 -
