FSCS protection across banks with the same sort code

I have opened 3 fixed rate savings bonds with 3 separate banks, so that I'm protected by the FSCS. However, I have noticed that two of the banks have the same sort code. The third is different, but if I look up the sort codes, they all appear to be for Barclays. The banks are:

Charter Savings Bank
Aldermore
Skipton

Am I still protected up to 75,000 for each of the bank accounts?

I think its whether they have seperate banking licences, rather than the sort codes that matters.

You need to be concerned with FCA Licence Numbers, not "sort codes". The 3 providers you've listed will display their respective FCA licence numbers on their websites (and in the T&Cs provided upon application).

None of these are clearing banks. So have to use one of the majors.

Correct. It is the licence that determines what counts as a financial institution, not the sort code. You can check on the FCA website, or use this MSE tool: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/safe-savings#tool

All 3 mentioned have their own licence and therefore own protection.
